spctians
today's blog will be dedicated to my canoeing team-mates.
found lots of stuff about canoeing on the net... these are some which i think suits the spctians~
serene-Rough water canoeing is thrilling because it is dangerous. So trusting someone else to make the right decisions in a risky situation takes a lot of trust! These decision might not always be right, but can nonetheless be shared and enjoyed, if there is a sense of mutual trust in the boat.-i trust u in everything during trainings ... including the capsize drills we use to have .. n the bad directions which u use to give.. but see .. things change coz i trust u ...now tht we wont cap anymore .. n ur direction has improved tremendously...
tingyi-Communication in a K2 is vital, and if the back seater isn’t talking about fatigue or problems, then the front paddler must feel it, and initiate the discussion.Don’t forget in all this shouting and instructing, to positively reinforce the (what is normally a less experienced) paddler in the back seat. If you shoot an obstacle elegantly, take a moment to praise, or offer a hand for a quick “five”. Don’t risk a partnership going sour because the front seat paddler is seen as a tense and hostile (so-called) partner. -well .. even though sometimes u might be serious with things .. but tht was all in the past... n well.. i guess i havent been toking much during my row with u .. haha .. so .. dun take it to heart.. shall talk more in the future~
to all canoeist- Focus is as much a part of winning as training is. Take for example sprinting for a short distance in a canoe can be very demanding but by focusing on the actual event and not your actions, you could be the one crossing the finish line victorious and not even realise the strain you just put your body through.
-* Changes do not happen overnight
zhan wei- Make quantifiable progression: Try to increase the reps, or incorporate slight weight increases once a week. Don't just do a "workout". If you are in the weights room for more than an hour, you are not working hard. Somebody who says they worked out with weights for 2 hours possibly did more talking and resting... Done right, 40 minutes can be brutal and effective (not including proper warm-up).haah .. no lar.. i mena .. i noe u did a gd job in gym .. trying ur best to build all ur muscles...
all canoeist... train hard... reward is a foot step away
